Huang Yong Ping, Caverne, 2009
Caverne is a sculpture made of a massive boulder connected to an adjacent wall whose contents can be seen through a small hole. Referencing Duchamp’s Etant Donees* and Plato’s Cave it comments on mankind’s unwillingness to confront reality.
